In addition to editorial and technical translations, since 1986, the CAESAR translation agency in Rome has played a leading role in sworn legal translations. The agency, committed to providing you with translations certified for all legal purposes and legal translations, is able to offer you a consistently accurate and highly professional service.
CAESAR reminds you that sworn translations represent the only legally valid form of certification in Italy and abroad for a translation.
Any other form of attestation, declaration, or "certification" indeed has no legal value unless it includes an authentic signature (known as "attestation") from a Court or a Notary.
Therefore, the agency in Rome advises you to be wary of any other type of service offered and to request the necessary information from any Italian Court to verify the above.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TYPES OF TRANSLATION AVAILABLE?
1
FREE
A translated text is provided, in electronic or paper format. They are also called "STANDARD TRANSLATIONS".
These are the most frequently requested translations, in technical, advertising, editorial, or informative fields.
2
CERTIFIED
A translated text is provided, in electronic or paper format, accompanied by a statement of conformity drafted and signed by the translator; he certifies that the translated text conforms to the original and indicates its details.
This type of translation
HAS NO LEGAL VALUE and cannot be legalised or apostilled. In Italy, it is not accepted by any Public Authority or Office (e.g., Citizenship or Municipality), while some institutions in the Anglo-Saxon world (USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand...) sometimes do.
3
SWORN
A translated text is provided in paper format, where a public official (Court Clerk or Notary) authenticates the translator's signature - who assumes civil liability for the translation - through a sworn statement.
Stamp duties are affixed during attestation.
This type of translation
HAS LEGAL VALUE and can be legalised or apostilled. In Italy, it is accepted as legally valid; elsewhere in the world, it is similarly acquired, subject to Apostille or legalisation where required.
In some countries (e.g., Russia), a free translation of the oath statement is also required.
In Italy, it is not allowed by law to proceed with
sworn translations between two foreign languages; in such cases, it is also necessary to provide a sworn translation into Italian, which will be inserted between the source and target languages.
This type of oath is commonly referred to as "interlingua" and involves 2 sworn statements, with stamp duties affixed to both sworn translations.
It is therefore very important to understand clearly what is actually required, and to turn to professionals and agencies with proven experience such as CAESAR in Rome, whose translators are registered with Italian Courts as Court-appointed Technical Consultants (CTU).
Very often, services are offered for "certificated" translations or stamped by "sworn translators" which will be absolutely useless as they lack legal validity, or perhaps sworn translations for documents not properly legalised in the issuing country.
In order to avoid wasting time and money, we suggest you to contact our Agency without any obligation, which has been professionally carrying out this work since 1986, for a free and immediate consultation regarding what you really need.
CAESAR TRANSLATIONS
The CAESAR agency in Rome is the ideal solution for all those who wish to maintain the legal validity of their documents in foreign countries of destination.
To this end, the company executes and legalises both the original documents and certificates, as well as various sworn translations:
SWORN TRANSLATIONS
Sworn translations (also called certified translations or 'sworn translations' in English) are required when a document needs to be translated and submitted to an authority, notary, or institution while maintaining its legal value, or when a legally certified translation of any text or document is requested.
This applies to:
The agency in Rome (operating throughout the national territory) guarantees a competent and professional service in the field of sworn legal translations in the main languages of the world, ready to be used internationally.
CAESAR specialises in legally certified translations of identity cards, passports, diplomas, certificates, official declarations, financial statements and corporate documents, criminal records, legal appeals, notifications abroad, judgments, and medical certificates.
As a partner of NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) and Ryanair DAC, CAESAR is a reference point for the management and duly certified translation of the required documentation.
The sworn legal translations by the agency in Rome are carried out and signed on the appropriate oath/affidavit by native-speaking translators duly registered with the list of technical consultants of various Courts in Rome and Lazio.
They are endowed with actual legal value, as they are sworn and signed by a recognised translator accredited by the competent Court.
The translations, always complete and conforming in every part to the original document, are prepared taking into account the following current regulations.
CAESAR also reminds that all revenue stamps affixed by the translator on the translation, before presenting it to the office, are cancelled by the office itself at the time of the registration of the translation in the chronological register.

TRANSLATIONS

The agency is pleased to affirm that since 1986, the acceptance rating of the documentation provided to its clients by entities worldwide is a remarkable 100%, and in the agency's history, there has not been a single document that has not been accepted due to irregularities or non-compliance.
CRIMINAL CERTIFICATES
The CAESAR agency also plays a leading role in the sworn translation of Judicial Records and Pending Charges.
Specifically, the company offers flat rates in the event of a "null" outcome, amounting to €80.00 including the stamp duty.
To ensure that such documents are legally valid abroad, the agency can arrange for the legalisation of the originals and their certified translations with Apostille or at the relevant Consulate.
The CAESAR agency also reminds that for certificates to be valid under British law, they must have been issued less than 6 months ago.
However, since some foreign countries consider a validity period of only 3 months, the agency advises you to use the certificates within 3 months to avoid problems once presented abroad.
EQUINE PASSPORTS
For many years, the CAESAR agency in Rome has been translating equine passports in collaboration with Fise Lazio.
The translation of a horse, donkey, or other equine passport must be sworn by a translator registered with a court, and the agency in Rome can provide you with a highly qualified service.
The translators at the agency in Rome, experts in the technical terminology used in passports, are available for free consultation on this matter.
